We have a new library automation system! It has been purchased with the intention of improving library operations and student literacy. Teachers and students will be trained soon on its uses as it is a WONDERFUL tool and resource. Thank you to the powers that be for its purchase! :-)
I spoke with an esteemed colleague today and learned of a few useful tid-bits pertaining to Destiny. One...the Destiny link may be placed on your desktop by adding the link to your favorites online and then placing the favorite on your desktop. Drop and drag...it is that easy. Two...in order to acquire the "about" information on Destiny, you will need to double click on the green bar at the bottom of the 'Fairfield City Schools' homepage (fairfield.follettdesinty.com). A new window will open with information on Destiny that includes origination, version, etc. Third...I believe I was told that the code is 39. This will be helpful in acquisitions and cataloging. I was asked to share the above information with everyone. I hope that will be helpful. Sometimes...little things mean a lot.
